Message from God’s Word: Pastor Michael D. Williams “Struggles Will Cease” Isaiah 26:1-4; John 14:27; Romans 5:1-2, 6-11 2nd Sunday of Advent
Growing In: God Communion Service Communion at the Orchard Church is a time of dynamic remembrance of Christ’s death as the atonement for our sins. Communion is open to all believers. Please take a moment to read through the process of our communion so that you will know what to expect. Distribution: A member of the hospitality team will come to your row, opposite of the center aisle. Whoever in the row desires to partake in communion can stand up and approach the front communion table. Once at the table, the pastors will distribute the bread, which represents the body of Christ, and the cup (grape juice), which represents the blood of Christ. You will hold onto both elements and make your way back to your seat. Examination: While waiting for the entire congregation to receive the communion elements, you are invited to spend some time in self-examination, confessing your sins to God, and asking that God would examine your heart as well. Partake: Once the entire congregation has received the elements and returned to their seats, the congregation will partake in the elements together as directed by the pastor / Elders.
